ActiveE

Livingston rEVenge

Tuesday 20th March 2012

It’s a Tuesday evening and you won’t find me sat in front of the T.V. as tonight there’s a gathering of Electric Cars. The ActiveE and I find ourselves at Temple B’nai Abraham in Livingston as they’re showing the film Revenge of the Electric Car and Michael had organised owners to bring along their Electric Cars. We had two Tesla’s, four ActiveE’s, a Volt and two plug in Prii. Quite a gathering.

Four ActiveE’s show up and guess what? They were all white and all had the same graphics, are you beginning to see a trend here? At least the two Tesla’s arrived in opposite colours!

It was a most pleasant evening talking to people about EV’s. It was a relatively quiet event so we were able to socialise with friends and catch up on all the latest. Notes on cars were compared and some reminiscing about the MINI E, well that was mostly me as I do so miss the MINI E. Can it please come back?

I am wondering if my MINI E will be at the London 2012 Olympics… Did you know that BMW is the official Automative Partner of the London 2012 Olympic Games? They’re providing mobility for the athletes and officials. They will be providing low emission diesel and hybrid vehicles but, and this is the best bit… there will be 160 ActiveE’s and 40 MINI E’s plugged in and charged up on duty at the Olympics.
